On my first day at EAIM, I experienced a mix of emotions. I was nervous, excited, and curious about how my learning journey would unfold. I wondered what my classes would be like, how the environment would feel, and how I would interact with people from different backgrounds. But the moment I stepped in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. That warmth immediately put me at ease and reassured me that choosing EAIM was truly the right choice for my academic future. I think that EAIM nurture students academically and beyond.

I was also offered an option in Malaysia and spent time comparing it with the NCUK programme in Singapore. In the end, I chose Singapore because I wanted the experience of living by myself (good practice for me!). So far, I have adapted well to the food and have made friends from different countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, and Singapore.

I previously studied Aerospace Engineering at ITE but later found myself working in the veterinary industry. After two years of working, I decided that I want to become a vet. It isn’t an easy path, and there are limited options in Singapore to pursue veterinary studies, but the NCUK International Foundation Year opened up this opportunity for me.

Born and raised in Yangon, Myanmar, this is my first time living abroad on my own. I’m grateful to have made friends from different countries. I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in finance or accountancy, and I joined this programme with the goal of progressing to a Russell Group university. I especially enjoy the smart classrooms with interactive whiteboards and the modern school facilities, which make learning more engaging.
